Check in my projects in project web app remains empty even when checked out projects

Our project managers can't see their checked out files when clicking "check in my projects" in project center.
They just get an empty list.Administrators can. Probably this is a security issue, but I can't figure it out.

Hi Plessers--
If you see the default permission of Project Managers group, the "Manage Check-Ins" permissions will not be enabled. There is no special security defined though Status Manager having permissions to check-out and edit the project file, they will not see the file as checked out in the Check in My Projects of PWA.
