    Hi all,

I am using sharepoint server 2010 Enterprise .

    I have 1 difficulty :

I have some data in sharepoint lists,

now based on that data,my user is going to create projects.

Let say for 1 project,he  is assigning a team,

So  if a resource is already allocated to some other project, he want to see a validation error saying this person is already engaged on other project.

How can it be possible, any help can I get from Project server 2010's resource pool ?

    Thanks a lot !

    hi mafab

There is no out of the box functionality when it comes to overallocation notification. however your Project Manager can view the overallocation of all resources in his schedule if you use Project Server. You mentioned that you have sharepoint but not Project Server. Do you have Project Server?

    Thanks Marc,

Development server have only sharepoint 2010 Enterprise, but I have VM with Project server 2010 demo pack.

Now, I am doing all operation on sharepoint site.

So can I get PWA functionality there in my sharepoint site or do I need to navigate to PWA site compulsorily.

becoz, when I tried to import and export pwa webparts, I am getting error.

So any idea to get resource availability functionality there in sharepoint site.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Mafab,

You will need to have install Project Server and need to utilise PWA where you can find your global resource pool.

let me know if you need more details.

    thanks
