I have an HP laptop with Vista Home Premium pre-installed on it. Today i tried to upgrade my version with the windows anytime ugrade cd that i got with my computer. after i popped it in, it did its thing and restarted when it was finished. When i logged back on all my file were deleted, i checked the computer information and it said i still had Vista Home Premium, but it appeared as thoug i had Home Basic instead. I didn't have windows Aero anymore, however it decided to keep windows Media Center. Also i tried to adjust my screen resolution, but it had gotten rid of the option of a 1220x800 or so resolution, which i normally had, and instead the largest one was 1024x768. Also my wireless internet has stopped woking.
So basically I'm stuck with a confused computer, and an even more confused me. Somebody please provide some assistance.
I am not exactly sure about the steps you took for the upgrade. In anycase, i won't be able to comment on that.
