    I would like to place a Speech Server 2007 Std Server behind an Avaya S8710 PBX Communication Manager 3.0.1 using 24 ports (T-1 span). The Speech Svr will be used as and inbound-only IVR. Questions -

     

    - Do I need a media gateway between the SS and the PBX, such as a Dialogic DMG2030 or AudioCodes Mediant 1000? Or do you know if I can connect SS directly to the PBX through Avaya's CM IP software?

     

    - Do I need a Mediation Server? If I needed to do automated outbound calling directly from the SS, would I need a mediation server then?
