    Hi!

     

    We normaly use recorded audiofiles but if a file is missing, we use TTS until we have created a file.

     

    Is it possible to change voice from male to female? Am using English (United Kingdom) and according to the documentation there should be a voice "Emily" but I don't know how to change the settings...

    Take a look at the ModifyingLanguage sample application; it shows how to select the language and gender at runtime using ISynthesizer.DefaultVoice and InstalledVoices.

    Hi!

     

    I have to create a web appln that converts text to speech. Am using SAPI 5.

    The problem is that i need a voice with an Indian accent.

    The default- Mary, Mike and Sam are not at all clear.

    Here, you have mentioned "modifying language sample app"..where is it?

    Please help.

    The mentioned sample application pertains to Microsoft Speech Server and not SAPI, sorry.

    You will also need a voice that has the attributes you require to get TTS rendered using it.
