C drive failure - reinstall - any way to get at previous client backup files?

  my C drive failed & i thought i had backed up my OS, but it seems i didn't

  i installed a new drive & reinstalled WHS2011

  it created new folders, but i had moved them to another disk that was still OK

  i moved the new folder over, and dropped all the exisiting files in, but it doesn't know there are there

  is there a way to recover the client backup data?
