Unanswered Restore a Thinkpad X220 Win7

    I have been using WHS to backup my X220 Thinkpad . I then installed the consumer preview of Win 8 on the laptop, which works quite well, but I would now like to restore my laptop. However the restore CD will not boot the machine stopping on loading disk.sys . Any ideas?

    I had similar issues. I ordered my X220 recovery/restore disks from https://www.thinkpadrecoverycds.com

    The disks restored my laptop to factory original configurations without any issues.

    Hi, Richard

    For the restore you mentioned, which method you were used? By using the restore CD provided by Leveno or use the client restore USB created by WHS? If the latter, could you share your steps and the accurate error message you met?
