Is there a way to watch a Configuration Manager Software Inventory Cycle

  I can start an Inventory Cycle via script and then would like to watch/wait until the proces or whatever is running until it completes before looking at the log for a success or failure.

  Does anyone have an idea on what the name of the process or whatever runs when you start an Invetory Cycle?  Thanks.
