19 februarie 2009 18:18As of yesterday I started to have problems with WLW messing up the formatting of posts on my website. Whether I upload a new post or edit a post, the same problem occurs.
If I can PM you the web address in question that would be helpful. Thanks.
The website is http://www.noct.org
If you look at the latest post, you can see all of the tags not being processed or something going wrong. Can anyone help?
19 februarie 2009 19:33Its a problem with libxml2 on your server:
You might have to talk to your webhost, if you arent the owner of the server.

21 februarie 2009 16:36Absolutely agree. Using latest WLW (14.0.8064.206) with 2.7.1 and 2.8 bleeding with no problem. My host is Bluehost using PHP 5.2.8.
22 februarie 2009 06:27This is a real problem and the solution of downgrading / upgrading libxml2 is just impractical for the thousands of us who use hosted ISP services. My ISP reports that the libxml2 version on my server is ibxml2-2.6.26-126.96.36.199. This is older than the one in question, but it still gives me the same problem. I've downgraded my wordpress version right back to 2.5 with no benefit at all. This problem relates not only to WLW, but any third party remote blogging software that accesses WordPress through xmlrpc.phpAssuming that this will be fixed by someone with much greater technical competence than I have, I have adopted a workaround.I've opened an account at Wordpress.com and post to that successfully with WLW and all my third party blogging software (Iphone etc). I then suck my posts back onto my own site automatically using the wp-o-matic plugin and have it transfer my posts through an rss feed.Perhaps this idea might suit you until this issue is fixed.Bruce Wilson
