Currently you seem to be mostly focusses on research in information technologies. But if you aim to extend the Academic Search to include social science I would like to recommend the database of the Social Science Research Network as a good resource to
crawl and incorporate in your search. On the website http://papers.ssrn.com/ there are 246,080 papers available that all have full bibliographic information and many of them are openly accessible.
