PIC Provisoning

We are currently setting up our OCS infrastructure and will be using federation with Pubic IM providers.
One thing that is puzzling me is what happens to a user who is singing into their MSN/Yahoo/AIM client using the company e-mail domain? Will they still be able to sign in once provisioning has been activated, or will they have to use the OCS client?
We don't want to end up in a situation where users are unable to sign in whilst we are migrating and I can't find much documentation on this.
Cheers!

However it is important to note, when you attempt to federate with someone that uses a PIC vendor with a non (@yahoo, @msn or hotmail or live, or @aol.com) domain name you will add them to your OCS with username(domainname.com)@msn.com or yahoo.com etc. You must use that exact format with the parenthesis and all.

Thanks for the reply. I think you may have misunderstood my question :)

If my company e-mail domain is contoso.com, and I currently have users using their contoso.com e-mail address to sign into Windows Live Messenger, what happens when I activate the federation with Windows Messenger? I believe they may receive notification informing them that they need to change their associated Windows Live e-mail address in order to be able to continue to sign into Windows Messenger, but I haven't seen much documentation on this.
This shouldn't present a problem with Yahoo! or AOL federation, as you can only use a Yahoo! or AOL e-mail address to sign into their IM clients.

Hi, you'll received a email notification from Microsoft Live and also a guide to change your existing company email domain to the freeones (e.g. live.com).
Not too sure whether I still keep the email in my archived, should I have it here I'll post it for you.
Cheers
