Customization left down menu

Hello,
I would like to customised the left down menu :- First of all, i would like to edit the label. I downloaded the translate.xml and i edited all cell containing "Sales" then i updated the XML then i published. But it wasn't working....
- I would like to know if its possible to hide manually "Marketing" ? I don't need this link.
- Finally, is it possible to add a new link button ?

you can easily do this by editing sitemap, just check http://sitemapeditor.codeplex.com/

Yes ...you can do this by updating your sitemap.
First export your solution from settings. And then do editing and at last import your solution and do not forget to publish.
