Can I use a Windows 7 Home Premium disk to make my cracked W7 Ultimate OS legal?

15 มกราคม 2554 18:42I'm changing my pirate Windows 7 Ultimate to legal Windows 7 Home Premium.
These damn popups won't go away and at least the Home version is cheaper than before. Does downgrading a pirated 7 Ultimate to 7 Home Premium need a serial number change, a reinstallation from a disk (does a upgrade disk work?), or will it need a total reinstall?

Hello JimmyDs,
Backup your data and do a clean (repartition and reformat) installation.
And hope your cracked W7 disc did not have one of those malwares that writes itself into the BIOS...they're harder to eradicate than cockroaches.

2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2554 21:05ผู้ดูแล You will need to purchase a genuine "Full Version" edition of Windows 7 and perform a "clean install" which requires a reformat of the hard drive. A "downgrade" from Windows 7 Ultimate to Home Premium is not possible.
