Office 2003 validation failure

I have just got my PC back after a disk format, although I didn't want them to the shop put Ofice 2003 on with an activation code of their own which has been blocked by Microsoft. I have 2 copies of Office 2003 (home use program) one of which was on this PC prior to the clean.
Do I uninstall Office 2003 or is there some ay I can enter my genuine product key?
