Can't Validate Office XP Professional Special Edition

I ran the validation test online and was told that FrontPage 2002, Publisher 2002, and Word 2002 were all validated, but that Office XP Professional Special Edition was not validated. I followed online instruction to validate. First by opening each individual Office Program clicking Help>Activate Product, and received a message that said "The product has already been activated.” I then tried Start>Microsoft Office Tools>Activate Product, and I got the same message. How come the individual Office Programs are activated but the Office XP Professional Special Edition is not. What can I do to activate it. Can you try the following steps? Please make sure you have your product key (for Office) available.
1) Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\
2) Delete the data.dat file.
3) This data.dat file is for Office (not OGA).
4) Once the file has been deleted, open an Office application such as MS Word (or your own personal favorite) and ACTIVATE it.
5) After product activation is successful, try revalidating (this is the OGA part; Office Genuine Advantage) by visiting: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine and click "Validate Office"Please let us know if this resolves the problem.
