If you’ve visited My.live.com in the United States today, you’ve no doubt seen the notification message that My.live.com will be discontinued effective March 15, 2010.
We know that some of you have invested a lot of time setting up your pages, so before the site comes down, we wanted to provide you an opportunity to save your page setup information via an OPML file. To export to OPML, follow the steps below:
1. Click on “Add Content”
2. Choose “Advanced Options”
3. At the bottom of the options box, select “Click here to export to OPML”
This will generate an OPML file that can either be uploaded to a site that supports OPML imports, or you can view the file contents to get a quick view of the URLs for RSS feeds that have been added to your page. You can then copy and paste the URL into the “Add Feed” field on My.msn.com.
The My.live.com team would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our users for their support and loyalty over the years. We’ve come a long way since our first introduction as Start.com, and hope that you have enjoyed the journey as much as we have. While My.live.com maybe going away, current and past members of our team continue to work on new, exciting, and innovative features for Bing, Windows Live, and MSN. One journey is coming to an end, but more great things are around the corner. We’re looking forward to it and hope you’ll join us on our next adventure.
Thank you,
- The My.live.com Team
