Unwanted spyware

Does anyone know how I can remove/uninstall a program that is unwanted and is embedded. The program is "Antivermin". It has a icon in the tray that is a diagonal line through a red circle and a blue circle with a question mark. It flashes and alternates between the two. It also a balloon pop up about every minute that has their security alert in it. If you click the balloon or the blinking icon in the tray it opens IE and takes you to the Antivermin website to get you to buy their product. There are not contact numbers on the site. I have sent numerous emails through they support email asking for uninstall instructions but I have been ignored. It is not in the list of programs in the add/remove programs part of control panel. It is really a pain. A anti-spy/antimalware program that is just that! I would be grateful for any help.

For help with virus removal, contact the maker of your Antivirus program.
