回答済み Project Professional 2010 RTM - Wrong Reports Coming up

Several of us have noticed that when we select Project->Reports->Assignments->Who Does What a "Project Summary" report comes up instead of the "Who Does What"

I tried to copy a new Who Does What from GLOBAL.MPT in, naming it "Who Does What 2" and selecting that report renders as a Task sheet.

How do we restore to default reports?

Did we corrupt our .MPP file somehow?

    Hi Glenn,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I can't reproduce this in Project Standard.  Are you using Project Pro?  Does this happen with other projects or other PCs?

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

    Hi Glenn,

It does sound like a corrupt global.mpt.  I've seen this sort of issue before when reports have been copied over to the Enterprise Global Template - are you using Project Server?  If so, clear your local project cache (cd %appdata%/microsoft/ms project/14 and delete the cache folder).  If you are not using Server, I would remove Project (making sure the global.mpt is removed) and then re-install it.

One other thing - do you all see this issue on the same project, or are they on different projects?

Ben -- user sees the report "corruption" on *all* projects.

This user has not used Project Server.

Good plan to re-install Project Pro 2010.  Should have thought of it -- will try that.  But Proj should be more robust than that.

Apologies, I tend to assume (incorrectly in this case) that anyone using project professional is connecting to a project server.  This issue could be seen with a corrupt Global Template - this shows in all projects as the reports by default are stored in the global template.
