is it possible to open in SharePoint Designer 2010 the PWA masterpage and change it?
I'm asking this because I cannot open the v4.master of PWA... I have checked the central admin and there is enable the option to edit in SharePoint designer in the PWA web application I have checked the PWA site and there in site settings is enabled the option to edit in SharePoint designer
if I open the PWA site in SharePoint designer I get the following error (http://test/pwa): "This web site has configured to disallow editing with Sharepoint Designer. Contact your web site administrator for more information" it looks like I can open the subsite (http://test/pwa/ProjectBICenter) but when I change the v4.master page, I cannot see any change in the BI website... any suggestion??? what I'm doing wrong??
Vit we do not support editing the PWA masterpage that's why you can't edit it using SP Designer. We do support editing the projects workspace templates.
thanks for the answer, but what about if I want to insert project server into a sharepoint deployment.... and the sharepoint deployment has a custom masterpage??? I can edit the page in visual studio, but I cannot find the masterpage in IIS... where is located??? thanks Vit
Thanks for the answer... I know that I need to install Project Server... and I did it..
the problem is that I want to custonize the master page of PWA, but I cannot open it in SharePoint Designer 2010... so I was wondering if it was possible to locate in inside IIS and edit it manually...
