Hello,
I have a user that receiving the below error when they try to edit a document in our sharepoint\PWA site. They are an administrator and if they log into another machine it works fine. We have tried uninstalling office and reinstalling, patching, uninstall and reinstall of explorer. Can anyone offer some insight on what might be the issue?
"The
document could not be opened for editing. A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document"Workstation:
Windows 7 64bit.
Office Professional 2010 64bit
IE 9 64bit

We have added it to the trusted sites and have tried messing with the security levels but still have had no luck.

Hi there,
Do you have Microsoft SharePoint Foundation support feature installed for office on that machine?

Hello,
Yes, I have gone to programs and features Office 2010 and confirmed that it was installed. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling just that feature.

Yes , could be.
Also try IE 32 bit

That worked, trying it in IE 32 bit.
