When in the "Business Intelligence Center" and I drill down "Sample Reports" , then click on "English" folder and finally I select "SimpleProjectsList", I get the error message
"This workbook is not stored in an Excel Services trusted location. Only workbooks store in Excel Services trusted locations can be opened. To create an Excel Services trusted location, contact your system administrator"
I have been true the documentation several times on trusted location and not sure why I am getting this message. I discovered I can right click and select "Edit in Microsoft Excel", I get a warning message about "Some files can harm computer...etc.", click OK, Excel 2010 comes up. I then click "Enable Content", and then I get "Security Warning", "Do you want to make this file a Trusted Document", I click YES and then I get my list of projects.
The document now seems set as a trusted location when editing in excel, but not when I want to read as trusted.
The user group ReportViews is a AD group and the reporting databases has this user added and the roles DataReader has been set. I also set the role to OWNER to see if it made any difference.
My brain hurts... Anyone have ideas on how to resolve?
The issue is not with your client. Rather, you need to set up the trusted file and datasource locations in the Excel Services Service Application from Central Admin. The link provided by Christophe should also cover that aspect. Treb Gatte

It's really easy to get the URLs incorrect when setting the trusted locations. Re-check these against the instructions. IMO, this error indicates that you set the URL incorrectly and it's not a problem with the Secure Store service, which may be also be an issue, but will generate different error messages.
One other thing to look out for, make sure that you selected the correct options for the trusted location. For instance, forgetting to select to Trust Children will generate this error.Gary Chefetz, MCITP, MCP, MVP
