What TTS voices are there available under a 'standard' OCS deployment?
Is it extensible (can more/different voices be purchased)?

Hi,
TTS voices for the following languages are available with OCS. Some have both male and female voices, others are female-only.
Chinese (People's Republic of China)
Chinese (Taiwan)
English (Australia)
English (United Kingdom)
English (United States)
French (Canada)
French (France)
German (Germany)
Italian (Italy)
Japanese (Japan)
Korean (Korea)
Portuguese (Brazil)
Spanish (Spain)
Spanish (United States)The mechanism used for loading language packs is extensible, so it is technically possible that OCS 2007 could be extended with further languages. There is no provision for loading 3rd-party voices, however - only voices shipped specifically for OCS2007 are compatible.
However at present there are no firm plans to release any further language packs. If there is some specific language you are interested in, please send your request to mssbeta@microsoft.com
