    WHS 2011 new install.  Client computers can access shared folders most of the time, but sometimes I get the 'cannot access need permission' error message.  If I log off client amd log back on, it works again.  This isn't going to work for me, I need the folders to stay connected reliably.

    Client Backups seem to be working OK (log says so anyway). 

    Original WHS never had this issue.

      You might want to start by checking the driver for the NIC on your server (make sure it's for 2008 R2 and update it if possible).
