Unanswered Windows Server 2008 HPC R2 Service Pack 1 issue!

    I have just updated all nodes on my cluster with "Windows Server 2008 HPC R2 Service Pack 1".

    Now I am attempting to update the HPC pack via "Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 R2 SP1" and am receiving the following error message:

    I would attach the setup log file here but don't see any way of doing it.

    Any ideas of what might be the problem and how I can send the log file over the forum?

    There another 2 HPC Pack service packs to install after this so unless I can get this one one I can't even attempt those updates.

    I am totally stumped on a way forward??

    To add a bit more to this, I have just tried and succeeded in deploying the "Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 R2 SP1" on all the compute nodes without a problem?

    Why does the head node not like the same patch?

    If the head node does not now have the same level patch as the compute nodes will this give me problems until I can get the patch to work on the head node?

    Hi Rich,

    Can you try to read the log file and paste the error portion here?
