Windows desktop icons

  Hello!
  Often I bring the computer with me to customers for presentation, demonstration etc.. I borrow the client's projector or TV. When I come back to the office, all the icons are reversed in a complete mess.
  I'm tired of organizing them each time in the order I want them.
  Is there a way to lock the icons or to recover the order I had before the customer visit?
