    Hi,
    My WL Photo Gallery does not recognize my scanner that's online.  I tried re-installing latest WLPG and still no dice, even when I push the refresh button.  Other softwares are recognizing no problem.  Help!

    Hi, this is forum for Windows Live Writer ... but what scanner device and operating system you have? Do you have latest drivers? It is Canon?

    Thanks for your reply.

    I am using a 6-7 yr old Memorex scanner and running XP SP3.  My scanner works fine when my system is typically running.  Are you saying that WLPG might need to access its own driver that would recognize the scanner?  It would use a separate driver than what my OS is using with my hardware normally?

    No, WLPG use driver that is installed on system, but must be fully compatible with some requirements. Use your scanner own aplication for scanning (developed by Canon)? Is your scanner showns in "My Computer" in "Scanners and Cameras"? If no, try find new driver in Canon Drivers ...
