    Hi All,

    When trying to import a CRM organisation via the CRM deployment manager I'm receiving the following error message...

    "The import organisation wizard cannot connect to the sql server or cannot find an organisation data on the <Servername> verify that the server name in the SQL server box is correct and that the computer is running Microsoft SQL server where an organisation database is stored."

    The above error message appears on the first screen when I select my SQL server and then choose the "organisation database" drop down.

    Microsoft CRM 4.0 Roll Up 3
    SQL 2005 SP 2 - this is installed on the CRM server.
    Windows Server 2003
    Logged on as Domain/local admin.


    nay ideas as to why the deployment manager is giving this error message

    Hi,

    you are logged in as local admin. Has this user any rights in CRM? When you open the SQL managmend studio with this user, can you see the CRM-Database you want to deploy?

    Hi Guys,

    I'm a complete idiot!!!! :)

    USER ERROR I'm afraid, after restoring the CRM org DB in SQL I forgot to refresh the SQL DB list and noticed that the DB was marked as "suspect". Don't know what had happened in the first instance but restoring the DB and then checking the DB status was ok in SQL resolved the issue.
