Validation of Windows XP

  For the last month a pop up window has been appearing saying "Microsoft windows can't be validated.  You have 30 days to correct.  Click on link".  I have done this three times on three different days.  After clicking on the link Microsoft Security Essentials works (which it doesn't before clicking on the above mentioned link.
