    It would be nice if I could stitch panoramas of varying zoom.  I don't need a detailed stitch of the sky, vs more interesting objects.  It would be nice if you could upload higher res / zoomed in sections of areas of interest.

    Yes, I came with exactly the same question, and the same examples even, to see if the question was discussed or if there either was or was not a provision for this idea.
