Hello, is there a way that i could get microsoft projects to define tasks based on the start and end time, rather than dates, and duration .

    to further :

If i have the following columns
    Task Name
    Duration
    Start
    Finish

Microsoft project will place the project attributes based on the start and finish which is in days.

I either a: Need to get the start and finish to a time or times plus days , b: i need to get the start and finish to be start time and finish time.

Also is there any other column i could create that would make scale look at the start and finish times, as time is ket to my project task no days.

    Hi IKEGNE,

    1. You can enter time of day everywhere in Project as 3/3/10 11:33
    2. Project willl also SHOW time of day in all date columns  (talking Project 2010, the subject of this newsgroup) through
File, Options, general, Select in Date Format teh one with the time of day included
    3. Have you tried entering start, then finish? It will do as you request.
(Note that this is not considered best practice but you may have special tasks)

    Hope this helps,
