    I am trying to find out if MS has a product that performs graphical density mapping for statistical/scientific data.  Unfortunately a half hour of google searching has shown me that "density mapping", "data mapping", etc. brings up every topic and product BUT what I want :(

    Specifically, I'd like to be pointed to a MS product (even if it is not for development) that can perform this type of mapping.  Is there a forum best suited for this kind of question?

    To be honest I am not sure, however if you give microsoft support a call on 0800 635 0716, then they should be able to help you.

    Thanks Lewis.  Ultimately I ended up making my own limited but task-specific density mapper in Silverlight and fortunately pulled it off for the project, so the need is no longer present.

    However, good advice all the same.
