    Hello,

i think users should be able to choose how 'safe' they want their data.
Right now we are presented with two choices:

    1) File on one disk (Duplication off)
    2) File on two disks (Duplication on)

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing two crashing (usb) drives at the same time.
I'm now facing the loss of my data that was exclusively duplicated between these two drives.

Since the Drive Extender's concept makes sure that similar files are located on the same drive I'm probably about to lose a great part of my music and movies collection...

    So the question basically is:

Let the user choose how much he wants to replicate (more than 2 times).

If it were for me, I would replicate about three to four times. I don't mind the performance loss or spending 100€ for 1TB of disk space.
If you let the end user make the final choice, I'm sure many others will feel the same way.

    Greetings,

    Tom Demets

Hi, Tom! You should post this product suggestion on Connect, rather than here. While Microsoft does read this area, they have asked that product suggestions be posted on connect because it makes them easier to sort, rate, triage, etc.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
