Answered What happens when the HPC Pack trial expires?

I have an HPC Cluster (R2, SP3) and I've been seeing that the HN goes offline every now and then.  This is a virtual cluster I use to run tests and has been running for a while w/o a license.

I'm wondering if the HN going offline is a cause of the trial period expiring?  It sounds familiar to Windows Server 2008 R2 trial, where it would shut itself off after a certain period of time if it hadn't been registered.

    Thanks!

If the head node is running an evaluation / unlicensed version of the Server operating system, then seeing the head node go offline would be expected as the system reboots itself.

If your operating system is licensed and only the HPC Pack software is an evaluation version, then you should not be seeing it go offline repeatedly.
