Are the e-learning courses 'interactive'?

2008年7月31日 16:16I want to know if the e-learning courses are interactive so that they qualify for 'Continuing Professional Education' for my CPA and CMA licenses. Specifically, they need to have frequent quizzes that provide feedback for incorrect answers, and there needs to be a test at the end that I can test my understanding and get a score (% correct). If anyone out there has ever taken one of these e-learning courses, did it include pop-up quizzes to test understanding? And does it include a 'test' at the end?

Hi,
The e-Learning courses are interactive. Each course consists of a number of lessons. Each lesson has a self-test at the end. The lessons consist of video clips, short bits of reading and other interactive content.
I have taken several of the developer related e-Learning classes. They did provide interactive self-tests at the end of each lesson but I do not recall having an end of course "test" There is plenty of feedback for correct and incorrect answers. I am not sure but some courses may have end of course tests. Some classes have lab simulations where you can try out the technologies in a virtual environment. With regards to these courses qualifying for CPE credits, I am afraid that I do not have an answer for you. I have sent some emails to see if I can get an answer about this. If I do I will post it here. You could also try contacting the e-Learning support group at 800-636-7544 or 888-456-7077. They may be able to answer your specific questions.
Hope this helps.

While they are interactive, i am not sure that I would rely on Microsoft based e-learning for CPE credits in anything outside of the technical realm. You would be better served by an in-person or similar course which is specifically accredited. Also, if you want to stay exclusively online, SkillPort and other online e-learning providers specifically have matricies for what is accredited to count for CPEs in various programs.
I would pre-authorize whatever route you intend to take by discussing your choice with the sanctioning body for your license.
