I just passed the 70-236 exam a couple of days ago and now have my sights set on the next exam, 237. I've been working with Ex2007 for about 1.5 years now and still had to study quite a bit for the 236 since it covered some things I never touched in my environment (e.g Edge servers, multiple sites, etc). How is the 237 exam in comparison to the 236, is it more technology oriented or conceptual? Overall, was it harder or easier than 236?

70-238 is completely different, and much more technical than 70-237. A very large focus are backup, backup windows, recovery methodologies, migrations from older Exchange versions, migrations from/to clustered mailbox servers, and lots of questions about journalling, mailbox and transport rules, and Send and Receive connectors. Most of the questions focuses on where you have to set rules, i.E. Hub or Edge server. This is usually pretty easy, but there are few cases where the solution aren’t obvious.

A bit of material is the same as in 70-237 (not word for word, but in the type of questions) – focusing on which rules you need for what. A few other questions centered around Active Directory, and the requirements Exchange has for it.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Hi,

70-237 is really a very simple exam if you have experience in migrations from 2003 to 2007 and high availability environments. Most cases only 37 questions.

MS Press books and CBT Nuggets helped many.

    Hope this is helpful.

Hi Rubel, thank you for the info. Would you happen to know the relative difficulty of the final exam, 238? I looked at the requirements and prereqs and it seems to be a killer.
