CRM 4.0 resolve email address

    Suppose I have a contact, John Smith, with no email address in the CRM. 

    Then this person sends me an email, and I click on Track in CRM in Outlook.  In the CRM, this email address is unresolved.  The email address does not exist in any other record type.  If I try to resolve it to the John Smith contact, will the email address field be populated?
