I installed Vail on a machine with:
Intel D510
1 GB
2 x 500 GB Samsung HDD
Installing went Ok but after one hour i got BSOD. Tried to restart but did not start at all, even not a bios screen. After a good night sleep i turned the machine on and it started but again after plusminus one hour BSOD. This happend in several time now.
Sometime i get a BSOD whit IRQL_is less or equel And the other time i get page_vault
Is there somebody who can explain this?

What stop code is reported on the blue screen?
Could it be heat? Did you apply enough thermal paste to the CPU (I'm assuming a self-built system)? Not too much, not too little? Memory issues? PSU is up to the task?
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :) -

Thermal past can't be the isue. The motherboard has the Atom dual core proccesor on the board. Hardeware should be up to the task. it is a 1,6 GHz dual core with hypertreading. -

I would suggest you run a diagnostic on your RAM. -

They are typically under %SystemRoot%, look for *.dmp,

HI BigdaddyD,
Can you attach the crash DMP file to your connect bug?
The link to file a connect bug is: https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer/feedback/CreateFeedbackForm.aspx?FeedbackFormConfigurationID=4229&FeedbackType=1
If you are unable to attach the crash DMP file, let me know and I will find another way to get us the file.
Thanks!

Thanks BigdaddyD,
I just checked the bug and it appears as if you have attached mini dump files and not a memory.dmp file.
Can you look at your %SystemRoot%, and see if there is a memory.dmp file listed?
Thanks
