The question of UEFI vs. BIOS is handled at a level below anything in Vail, so there should be no real problems. See this white paper for information about UEFI support in Microsoft operating systems. Vail is based on Windows Server 2008 R2, so it should have the same support.

UEFI support is coming in the next milestone. out of curiosity, which UEFI platform are you thinking to use?

good question! I think a saw an MB from MSI with UEFI support...
I think it is important for the near future though, because of the 2TB system drive issue. Are there any news when we can be able to expect broad UEFI support by MB manufacturors?
