vista enterprise windows activation links are not working

  Hello,
  
  I was attempting to activate windows on a vista enterprise box, but the links dont work.  I click on the 'change product key' link and it does nothing.  I click on the 'xx day(s) to activate windows now' link and it does nothing.
  
  the other links within the window (such as 'change settings') do work.
  
  anybody have a clue as to what is happening?
