I have a Samsung I760 and I'm using it on my Vista laptop.  When it syncs I overwrites my phone and adds a bunch of stuff to my phone.  I have the overwrite desktop on but it just does not work.  It also allows for duplicate entriesl

any help will be greatly apprecaiteted.

Greetings mas1953!  Welcome to the Windows Mobile Total Access forums!

It sounds like your partnership between the PC and the Samsung may be corrupt.   Try this:
1.) Please go to Windows Mobile Device Center on the PC and choose from "Mobile Device Settings" the "Delete Partnership" option.   This will not delete any contact or appointment data from your PC, just the relationship data between the two devices.
2.) Next go to your Samsung and start ActiveSync, then highlight the name of your PC, then select the Delete button.
3.) Then perform a Soft Reset on your Samsung, and reboot your computer.
4.) After both have rebooted back to a normal state, then plug your known good working USB cord into the PC and the Samsung, and wait for the ActiveSync Connection Wizard to appear and walk you through the process of setting up a new Partnership.

    I hope this helps!
