windows live writer login problem
- Hi,
When i try to login in windows live writer i am getting the following error messages,

An unexpected error occurred while trying to log in to the remote server.If you have a proxy or firewall configured, please make sure your system is properly configured to allow this program to connect to the remote server.

I am not using any proxy as well as firewall also disabled. When i check the logging file of windows live writer, it shows the following,

- Hi, sorry that we haven't replied to your post sooner.
I'm assuming that you're using Spaces when you see this issue. Is this still happening for you?
Becky Pezely, Windows Live Writer - That error usually indicates that the Passport server can't be reached. It's possible that it was temporarily down (although this doesn't happen often). Can you try again now?

- Problem solved now. Seems that the Writer relies on the proxy settings of Internet Explorer.
- Hey listen, I am trying to use Windows Live Write and it gives me the same message. Now that it working for you; what did you do?
