• Welcome to the new Microsoft Forums!

  We’re excited to announce a brand new forums platform for the Microsoft community, and we’re glad you’re here.
  
  A great place to start learning what you can do is to watch a video created by the forums Development Lead, Sam Jarawan, walking you through many of the new features. If you still have more questions, you can read our FAQ - there’s a link on each page in the top right column, called Need Help with Forums?
  
  The first step to getting started using forums is to sign in with a Live ID and create a profile on the site. Once you’ve signed in, visit the sandbox forums (Expression, MSDN, TechNet, Community). This is a place you can create test posts and try out new functionality, without editing a forum on a real topic.
  
  Once you start using forums, we want to know what you think. If you find a bug, post it to the Bug Reporting Forum. If you have a suggestion for ways to improve forums, post it to Suggestions and Feedback for the Forums.
  
  Current forums will migrate to the new platform starting later this year. In the mean time, to visit them go to http://forums.microsoft.com/.

  This is an announcements forum, intended for the forums team to communicate important news to all Forums users. Please do not post here unless you have reason to make an announcement. While we appreciate all of the smoke-testing while these forums are new, we respectfully request that you do that in the Sandbox forums for any of the brands.
