How to determine whether i've been sold a legitimately licensed copy of excel

Against my better judgement, but enticed by a wildly awesome price, i purchased a license (3 seat) for Microsoft Excel 2010, full version, from http://www.pbdistributiononline.com . $69.99. $23/seat, unbelievably great, when excel down at the local Office warehouse costs $140 each. The website has images and claims that they are a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, 2004-2010. They have a partner logo that's clickable, going to https://partner.microsoft.com/global/40014662 - which is just a generic tech support page.
It became clear pretty quickly that this would be problematic - i was first emailed a link to download Office Home & Student 2007, after which i complained and was sent a link to Office Home & Student 2010, then after a third complaint (via their online chat system) they finally sent the link to download Excel 2010. The ISO media file is hosted on mediafire.com. I have activated one copy on my own laptop, and it took the activation code fine.
I am using this in a business setting. we have about a dozen staff who will require excel (not necessarily the full office suite). While the software did activate without issue, I'm concerned that I may have been sold the software using a 'grey' area of the licensing. The EULA info popup references EULAID:O14_RTM_VL.1_RTM_EN , which i know is for volume licensing, but i've no idea what restrictions there may be on that license.
I ran the genuine advantage diagnostic tool, and here's the output (eliding the output for my own copy of windows 7, which was purchased direct from MS). hopefully that's all the relevant info.
thoughts?

Hello Paul Theodoropoulos,
(The mgadiag utility is not programmed to evaluate Office 2010, so the report contains no Office 2010 info.)
Unfortunately, you purchased a nongenuine volume licensing edition of Office Excel 2010.
At ths writing, we know of only three web stores authorized to sell digitally delivered retail consumer licenses for Office Suites and component programs: the Microsoft Store, Dell's Online Store, and HP's online store. There are NO web stores authorized to sell digitally delivered Volume Licensing editions of Office or component programs. VL editions of Office and component programs are sold only under a Volume Licensing Agreement, and part of such Agreement is that the license holder is NOT permitted to sell off copies of the Volume Licensed product, digitally or otherwise.
I would seek a refund of the money you paid. Then I would contact a legitimate Microsoft software reseller and inquire about getting your company a Volume License for the product you need, Excel 2010. See the "Find a Microsoft Partner" link on the right side of this page: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/

thank you very much. this should have been obvious, but when one has to buy a stack of licenses, the enticement of an awesome price can cloud judgement. :^)
i'll attempt a refund.
