    Also the www.microsoft.com/genuine came out with, "Windows must be activated before validation can determine if this copy of Windows is genuine." Although it was done long before, I was looking around the forums and came to the conclusion that an update might be the problem, everything was fine before that. The gray bar at the end says, [0xC004C4A6]

    Hi,

    Please do the following:

    1.  Try to activate by phone.  Go to Command prompt in Windows.  Type slui 4 then phone activate your copy. 

    2.  When successful, validate Windows at http://www.microsoft.com/genuine again

    All tests were passed, but still unable to validate just came up with a non activated windows dioloage again.

    Hi,

    When the "non-genuine notification" appears (e.g. Windows Aero is not working. This copy of Windows is not genuine), please click "go online and resolve now".  It will try to validate your copy.  Reboot when the validation is a success.

    Question:  Have you recently changed your hardware?

    Same thing about a non activated windows copy...and yes I have changed my Hardware but it was just a ODD i swapped out.

    Hi Sly12345,

    It does look like your first phone activation didn't go through.

    Would you please try it once more?

    You can type "slui 4" (no quotes) into a Command Prompt and hit Enter.

    Then you'll choose your country and go through the prompts.
