Deleting Enterprise Calendar
-
2012年6月18日 下午 01:37We want to remove an enterprise calendar from our MSPS 2010 environment. When going through the proper steps (Enterprise Data > Enterprise Calendar > HIghlighting and then slecting "Delete Calendar") I am confronted with a message that the calendar is in use by a specific project. When opening the project, the project calendar is NOT set to use this calendar. I then checked the task calendar for every task and they too are all clear of this calendar to be deleted. For good measure, I checked all the resources on the scehdule to make certain their default calendar was set to the correct calendar. All seems fine - yet I am unable to delete this calendar because MSPS tells me it's in use! Any ideas how I can remove this calendar? Thanks!!!

Randy --Microsoft has confirmed that the behavior you see is definitely a bug. Refer to the following support article for confirmation:I cannot find any reference to a fix for this bug as of yet, and I hate the workaround presented in the support article. I think a better solution is the one presented by my esteem colleague, Gary Chefetz, in the following thread:Hope this helps.Dale A. Howard [MVP]

I TOTALLY like this option. Calendar renamed and now we will hurry up and wait for MS to fix the bug. Thanks Dale (and Gary)
