    Hi all,

              I am infant to MS Project, I have task from my client who is manager. He has couple of projects which are in process he just  wanna see all the projects which r in his control and want to know the status of projects and if any projects are  pending need to know the reasons for pending.I came to knew  i.e they are some  Pm Solutions  such as below.Can any one tell me which 1 should I pick among below

            
    Resourse Management
    Schedule Maagement
    Team Collabration
    Finanace Management
    Protfolio Selection and Analytics

    Demand Management

    Bussniess Intelligence
    & reporting
    Adminstraiton ,Scalability & extensibility

    Hi,

    Above features you mentioned are part of Microsoft Project Server 2010.

    Project Server 2010 is Microsoft's Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management solution.

    All of above features you can use when you have Project Server 2010 along with Project Professional 2010. Project Professional 2010 is just and client side application and is best when you want to work in and isolated environment and you have to depend on offline communication over email, phone or in person to take the project updates.

    When you want to work in a collaborating environment to manage number of projects within an organization you need to have a enterprise project management solution like Microsoft Project Server 2010.

    HI Abhijeet,

                      Thanks for your response,Assess i.e a company have couple of projects and manager wants to know the project status of each project.Then which one should I select   Schedule Management or Time & Task Management.

    Both of these together will help you to achieve this.

    The features you are mentioned can not be used in isolation. They have relationships with each other and they work best when used in each others conjunction.
