     Hi

    I am master student , my research in grid service oriented computing

    I want to design and implement SOA meta-scheduler resource in grid

    does Windows HPC Server help me ?


    my research is build scheduler that select set of resource or node to run application depending on job requirements


    I read document about Windows HPC Server , I think it can help me , is that true or not ?

    please help me with name of tools or stasndards that can help me

    I think can I use HPCBP , JDSL

    Hi,
    You should look at the HPC Basic Profile support in Windows HPC Server 2008. This will allow you to develop metascheduling across Windows and Linux clusters.

    You should use virtual machine implementations for Windows and linux clusters, so you can do your research on a limited number of machines, or even a single box.
