how do I delete active sync from vista?
- I'm having trouble syncing and I'm thinking it may be cause by active sync runs at the same time as windows moble device center.

You mean that you have Activesync installed on your Vista machine?

I have upgraded Xp Pro to Vista business. I can't uninstall active sync 4.5 from vista. - Does it appear in the Programs list?

- Is this the programs list on your desktop?
You should still have Activesync installed on your device.

Hello. You will have to try and run the Activesync installer/uninstaller (.msi file) in XP compatibility mode. See here:

What happens when you try to remove it?
If it will not delete, possibly the link fiat_lux gave might be an option. I've not experienced the issue and have not tried it but it might work.
