  • Please download and install the latest WGA file:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/3/3/533a40be-936b-4267-b043-2f04233a78a6/WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86.exe

Then re-boot Windows. Does this resolve the issue?

  • Gemma,

This one seems to be one of the peskier problems!

    OK, here goes.....

Please do the steps in the resolution section of this MS KB article:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813442/en-us  Don't forget to type regsvr32 before each dll file

    Next, restart the computer.

Next, run the stand alone installer for the WGA Notification tool:  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498

    Finally, restart once more.

Please let us know if this solved the problem

  • Gemma,

Let's hope it doesn't revive itself, like villians in those teenage-slasher movies, like Freddy Kruger or Jason Vorhees...

    Good Luck!
