    Tyler,

    Try the following:

    1. Reboot your computer into "Safe Mode".

    2. Go to Start > Run and type: %systemroot%\system32 then press the Enter key.

    3. Locate these two files: wpa.dbl and wpa.bak

    4. Rename the wpa.dbl file to wpaold.dbl and wpa.bak to wpaold.bak

    5. Reboot your computer into Normal mode.

    This should force activation.

After you  are done with that, go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and then click "Validate." You should be good to go.

Try going to the latest updated file: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498

Then, Click "Start" then click "run" and type "wgatray.exe /b" That will restart the wga software.

    Tyler:

There's two inherent issues that I'm seeing.

First, is the cryptographic services. The issue seems to lie with the "unknown" signature that is coming up more commonly now. The "unknown" signature denotes a problem with detecting digital signatures.

    Refer to this Knowledge Base:

    http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=813442

Second, is the mismatch of the file versions (if you look, you have 1.5.530 and 1.5.540). You need to reinstall the 540 version after you fix the cryptographic errors above. The file is at

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498

Actually tyler, it looks like its running fine, except you need a reboot after re-registering those files.

Did you also reinstall the latest upgraded WGA file?
